Enhancing Political Dialogue and Exchange

Given the political, economic and social challenges in Korea and beyond, there is a need for reforms, particularly of politics and policies. With its partners, the Korean-German Association for Social Sciences (KDGS) and the Council of Asian Liberals and Democrats (CALD), the Friedrich Naumann Foundation promotes dialogue and exchange between academics, reform-oriented politicians and civil society groups. Our seminars and conferences are mainly focused on politics, political parties and government.

With its Korean partner, KDGS, the Foundation organizes regularly seminars on reform-politics in Germany and Korea, in which participate government officials, Members of Parliament and politicians. At the regional level, the Friedrich Naumann Foundation promotes political dialogue with reform-oriented politicians through the parties' association "Council of Asian Liberals and Democrats" which was created in 1993.
